Testimonials

My greatest fears were being too old to start and navigating the career change with an already settled family life. Your perspective was actual and accurate, assuring me that quality, well-prepared pilots will always find options, even through the industry’s ups and downs.

I’m naturally strategic, but when jumping into something brand new, it’s essential to get reliable information from an authentic, specialized source. Your specific, pilot-industry perspective was most valuable in helping me clearly see and validate my long-term strategic options.

This career is a long-term investment into your greatest asset: yourself. Successful people always search for options to save time and effort. Achieving a position at the best possible company even a few months in advance brings inestimable benefits, financially and in terms of work-life balance.

When I had the option to choose between two airline job offers, it was a great opportunity and a massive help to ask for your opinion and discuss the different aspects of each. Your reliable and authentic information helped me choose the best long-term career route.
— Csaba A., A320 First Officer, Business Owner
The biggest obstacle was the overwhelming amount of false information. Without knowing where to start, it’s easy to get lost and give up on the dream, even when the opportunity is truly there.

After our conversations, goals that seemed impossible began to feel like reality because I was given a clear, direct path forward. It was empowering to realise that pilots are also human, and with the right will and humility, this journey can be done.

Having continuous guidance provided me with motivation and peace of mind, even in difficult situations and uncertainty. I could count on your help at any time, and your shared experiences made learning and development much easier.
— Balazs B., Aspiring Pilot, Foundational Mentorship
I was very impressed by his technical knowledge and his handling skills. Despite the dynamic and very unfamiliar environment, he displayed ample spare capacity and was clearly thoroughly enjoying himself. I thought then, as I do today, that he is ideal test pilot material.

What also really impressed me was his calm and inquiring mind, appropriate ego, and outstanding communication and teamwork skills. He is as good a listener as he is an orator and has no need to hold centre stage.

The combination of his mature personality and broad experience within the airline pilot community make him ideally suited to this new chosen role. I recommend him unequivocally as a pilot consultant and mentor.
— Phil S., veteran Royal Navy and RAF helicopter and fixed wing test pilot, ferry pilot
The first time we flew together, your quick judgment and trust in my performance increased my involvement in the operation. I believe this confidence shows your ability to quickly see and assess one’s true operational potential.

Your greatest strength lies in long-term strategic guidance. Your own decision to move to the UK for a better work-life balance was a smart move, which proved beneficial not just for you, but for your family’s education and career progression.

It was always fascinating hearing you speak about insider technical and operational topics. You were always the reference point when it came to aviation job opportunities, and you made complex ‘grey zones’ in our operation approachable and clear.

I found this idea super interesting. A coaching program removes unnecessary stress during training years and beyond. Having gone through an internal coaching program myself in during my training to become an Air Traffic Controller, I know the barriers it breaks down. If I were starting my aviation career without any doubt, I would like you to stand by my side.
— Imre Sz., A320 Captain, Air Traffic Controller
Knowledge can be learned, and skills developed, but for a career pivot, attitude is the ultimate differentiator. Successfully surmounting the financial and life challenges required to start training is a strong indication of an excellent professional attitude.

Ambition is admirable, but without proper guidance, that energy is like a can of fizzy drink being shaken up and released with no real purpose. The multiple demands on our time and resources make professional guidance critical to harness that energy for career development.

The workplace can sometimes become an ‘echo chamber,’ where colleagues’ feedback is filtered by company priorities. Receiving honest and undiluted strategic insight from a peer dedicated solely to my development is absolutely critical for true professional clarity.

Colleagues are accelerating their development through online and AI tools, but those resources lack the nuance and personal interest of a dedicated coach. Your experience and unique understanding of the industry simply cannot be simulated.
— Thomas C., A320 First Officer
Coming from a senior management position to a first officer role is a huge change—not only in obvious differences in seniority and experience, but also in the more subtle shift where you must accomplish most of your training independently. There is no team around you to direct, no ability to delegate tasks to the best people. If you’re accustomed to delegation, that’s all gone. On the flight deck, your interpersonal skills still add value, but away from it, you are very much on your own.

A healthy dose of critical introspection often serves you well in the corporate world, where you only need to call upon it occasionally. But as a new pilot, I suddenly found myself with a long list of areas to critique. It can be overwhelming, and I found it very helpful to have someone who could reassure me that I’m not the first person to feel like this or to make mistakes—it’s simply part of building experience.

You have a no-nonsense approach to feedback: it’s unambiguous, structured, and makes it very clear how I can improve. I found this suited my learning style extremely well, and it built my confidence that if something were a significant problem, you would tell me.

Unless you come from a flying background, you won’t have access to someone with Mark’s breadth of skill and experience across the whole gamut of aviation. You only get one chance to get it right, and any mis-step can be financially very expensive. In the business world, you would immediately seek to minimise risk, and that mindset should absolutely carry over into your new career.
— Mark L., former Fortune 500 VP of Engineering, Commercial Pilot
My biggest worry was whether I should risk putting all the money I’d saved over the past six years into pilot training. I kept thinking, ‘What if it all goes to waste and I don’t get into an airline because of my age or something else?’ Talking to Mark helped me realise that my fear was bigger than the actual risk, and that becoming a pilot was more realistic than I thought. He explained that if you get the right licences and prepare properly for interviews, you will eventually get into an airline. That gave me the confidence that my effort and money wouldn’t be wasted.

It’s incredibly helpful to have someone you can turn to when you’re unsure about something—especially someone with this level of experience in aviation. Having his guidance makes the whole process feel much more doable.

The amount of aviation material out there is endless. It makes a huge difference to have someone who can point out exactly what to study at each stage, and what’s most important for the interviews. Forums just can’t give that kind of clear, targeted advice.
